When i was a girl, the internet was called a library ..a Gen X Parent's Guide to Kids Today.

My partner bought an old dial telephone at a garage sale this weekend, and my 10 year daughter was puzzled to know how it worked. My daughter and I got talking about what it was like as a Gen X kid growing up and what shows we watched on TV and i kinda explained it like this:

Age .... ah yes .... having completed a very long apprenticeship [much to the amazement of my enemies], I am now a fully-qualified journeyman geriatric .... and have papers to prove it .... that get me more discounts than I ever got with my degree :-) L=O=L.

Despite being entertained and informed by valve wireless when I was young .... I wanna be a Poddie too! ... [no, no, NOT a poddy!]

I should have had a text only (for now) surly semi-political blog up a fortnight ago .... but I have had a case of procrastination exacerbated by mid-Winter sluggardry and successful excuse-finding. Soon, Suburban Gothic Cowgirl, soon.

Sorry, haven't got any GenX-GenZ terms for you this visit.... :-(

you must confess when said blog is up, so we too can look on your proffered wisdom and wit from a life well lived!
its been weird lurking over at Prodeo,
lately...there really is an vibrant Australian blogo-sphere out there on line. I hadn;t realised it until now.

Are you a Brissie boy Mr Bell?

Own blog half-done. Real world keeps intruding into my fun .... especially over the past week (these excuses breed like rabbits).

Lavatus Prodeo is certainly lively!

Lived in Brisbane for a while as a kid; went back there for work and university .... then returned several years later. Now living out bush. Cheers!
